Blood sugar or glucose is our cell’s vital source of energy, but if not taken cared of may bring a blood sugar problem in our body.  Blood sugar levels should be maintained to normal as possible. The normal blood sugar level of a body is between 70mg/dl and 110mg/dl.The body cannot function well as expected when low or high blood sugar occurs.  A blood sugar which is below 70mg/dl would result to hypoglycemia or low blood sugar.  Hyperglycemia, which is more prominent, is the result of a high blood sugar in the body that increases above 180mg/dl.  Persons who are affected by any of these blood sugar problems usually feel blood sugar symptoms. Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar can be mild, moderate, or severe.  The blood sugar symptoms of hypoglycemia may vary depending on the degree of decrease of the blood sugar level.  A person with mild low blood sugar may experience one or more of these symptoms: hunger, nervousness, nausea, palpitations, trembling, numbness, or excessive sweating.  In moderate hypoglycemia, one will experience confusion, headache or blurry vision, fatigue, mood changes, lack of energy or poor coordination.  These are caused perhaps by the continued decrease of blood sugar in the body that affects the nervous system. Severe low blood sugar, which is the most dangerous, may include symptoms .

such as coma, seizures or low body temperature. It is advised that you immediately check your blood sugar level when you feel any of these blood sugar symptoms - so you can be treated immediately.
Hyperglycemia, as we may know, is the increase of blood sugar levels.  This may form in hours or days depending on the cause.  Blood sugar level is higher in a few hours if the cause is too much eating; and may develop in a few days if caused by illness or infection.  It is important to know as well the blood sugar symptoms of hyperglycemia or high blood sugar levels in the body.  The early symptoms of hyperglycemia in which blood sugar is more than 180mg/dl - includes frequent urination, blurry vision, headaches, thirst, dry mouth, unexplained weight loss, or difficulty in concentration.  A very high level of blood sugar that will remain for years will damage the small blood vessels.  This will develop complications like kidney, nerve, eye, and cardiovascular diseases.

It is necessary for a person who has blood sugar problem to be aware of these blood sugar symptoms. In this way, one can take action appropriately - and bring back his blood sugar level to normal.
